I tried downloading the beta version, but I figure that it is for Mac users, because I couldn't get it to work on my pc. Glad to see that you are working on the problem, and hopefully you will be up and running in a few days.

The new beta is still crashing every time on a PPC Mac. The "File does not exist" message no longer comes up, but a thread crash occurs as soon as it enters the conversion phase.

Thanks for the update! Glad to see you are keeping it alive.

I assume you saw the new MTV site today. Any chance TubeSock will work with that in the future? There are a lot of music videos there I can't find on YouTube.

Gary: Thanks for the feedback. I am working on restoring the dead PowerPC today (it's like 30 screws that have to be removed to get to that laptop drive) and hopefully we'll soon be able to develop and test on there, and figure out the problem.

I guys, I downloaded the beta 18 version on my iBook G4 (powerpc) and I'm still coming up with all the videos that I try to Tubesock saying that "File doesn't Exist". I've tried about a dozen videos. For Example this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6e5aJDU29ro

I love using Tubesock!, but this is really frustrating for me (and for you I'm sure). Please let me know what I can do to get these videos that I need.
Thanks.

This is still just for Macs, right? Any word on when Tubesock for Windows will be functional again? (I'm dying here. . . .)

Thanks!

The latest beta 18 seems to have solved the mp4 vs. mp3 download problem from YouTube that I experienced yesterday. I installed and tried it on my iMac with Leopard and a couple of gigs of ram and it worked fine. If I come across any other problems, I'll be in touch. I always thought this was great program and now it's even better.

Good luck to you guys! We really love TubeSock, so, all your hard work is very much appreciated.

(I sent my experience with beta 18 and YouTube to you in a support email, but, to summarize: Video for Mac works, but mp3 and AAC and Video for iPod (mp4) all freeze at the "Converting file" stage. Am using 10.5.2.)
